Change Thinking Strategy
The events that happen around us are not directly connected to the
outcomes we experience. Our response to an event shapes
the outcome we get. On any given day our outcomes change dependent
upon the response we choose. And that response is open to change
and re-evaluation as we receive more information or as our internal
state/mood/energy changes. It is also possible to choose a response
in any given situation.
People sometimes believe that they are at the mercy of their
emotions or are victims of events, this does not have to be the
case unless you want it to be!
Event + Response = Outcome
Simple but effective! It is useful when minimising the stress
of change to view events as neutral, neither negative nor
positive, just facts. It is our response that creates the
impact and choosing a positive response will help you stay
feeling in control.
Life is full of events that are in some way out of our
control. Life is neither predictable nor controllable.
Our response to life and its events is both, choose to
feel in control!
